When I catch up with singer songwriter Liz Pomeroy – she’s just finished a trial run on her bike.

The Edmonton-based singer songwriter - who trades music-wise under the name 0Stella – is prepping a different kind of cross Canada tour – she’s putting the pedal to her mettle and travelling across the nation on a bike.

“It is certainly not your traditional tour,” notes Pomeroy after just taking out her bike and trailer for a test ride.

“Each city is a new adventure. Every stop along the way and each day will be a journey.”

Beyond word of mouth through musicians, bicycling clubs, and fans, Pomeroy is relying on little else. The idea is to keep this mantra on the road and throughout the tour.

“The idea is to lower my (and tour's) carbon footprint to as small as I can.”

For example she will have no amp on the road – unless they are at venues already or she can find them in each city.

“I’ve done so much research over the last year on this,” she says.

She expects a lot of open air concerts and performances at the nation opens back up to public events.

“Pub decks, parks, some backyard concerts, and more,” she says.

Pomeroy expects to release an 0Stella album Freefall come October, with singles dropping throughout 2022.

She had loftier cycling and tour goals in mind pre-pandemic.

“I was thinking going over to France and biking on tour through Europe.”

There’s always something for a European tour next year.

Her tour kicked off in British Columbia on April 15. Follow her journey across Canada at 0Stella.com
