Highway 16 is now completely reopened at Tete Jaune junction after a rock slide struck Monday.

About 250 cubic metres of rock fell onto the highway on Monday but there was no damage to the road and there were no injuries, a Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure spokesperson said Tuesday.

"A geotechnical assessment is underway. Rock scalers will be used to scale the rest of the loose rock by the end of the week," the spokesperson also said.

The stretch had been completely closed to traffic for a time on Monday, then reopened to single-lane alternating.
