Breanne Cote elected BC Northern Real Estate Board chair

The B.C. Northern Real Estate Board has a new chair.

Breanne Cote was elected to the position for 2023-24 during the BCNREB's annual general meeting.

Based at Royal LePage Aspire Realty in Prince George, Cote has been a real estate agent for eight years and has served on many BCNREB committees including the professional standards committee.

"I am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and continued momentum for our profession," Cote said in a statement issued Wednesday. "Our industry is constantly changing and evolving both in terms of technology and the way we run our business and serve our clients, and also with government regulations, public protection and housing needs. I will work hard to make sure that we have a strong united voice in these future developments and have the tools we all need to run professional, successful businesses."

Joining Cote as board officers vice chair Kristine Newell (Team Powerhouse Realty, Prince George) and past chair Wynnette Lowes (Century 21 Energy Realty, Fort St. John).

Filling out the board of directors for 2023-24 are: Vanita Des Mazes (RE/MAX Bulkley Valley, Smithers), Guillaume Fortin (TIG Management Inc., Prince George), Shannon Horrigan (RE/MAX Core Realty, Prince George), Shannon Horrigan, (RE/MAX Core Realty, Prince George). Kristin Houghtaling, (Royal LePage Aspire Realty, Prince George). Victor Khong, (Horsefly Realty, Horsefly), Sheila Love, (RE/MAX Coast Mountains-Terrace, Terrace). Cameron McLeod, (Team Powerhouse Realty, Prince George). Jason Ryll, (Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce).
