A Vancouver photographer just captured this spellbinding bubble freezing action (VIDEO)

He shared his own bubble formula for anyone who would like to recreate the phenomenon themselves.

A Vancouver photographer recently captured some captivating footage showing how Vancouver's cold snap affected 10 nanometer-thin spheres of water and soap (or a bubble, if you're fancy).

On Boxing Day, Neil Fisher shared the video on social media where he stated that it was finally cold enough to watch the bubbles form their beautiful ice crystals. Filming the bubbles in Coquitlam, Fisher also shared his own trusted bubble formula for anyone who would like to recreate the phenomenon themselves.

For those of you who don't have 11 minutes to spare, here are the ingredients.

  • 500 ml / 2 cups of water

  • 60 ml / 1/4 cup of dish soap (Dawn works best)

  • 30 ml / 2 tbsp of glycerin
