Four patients and one staff test positive at Dawson Creek Hospital

Five people have contracted COVID-19 in relation to an outbreak last week at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital.

"Ongoing monitoring and testing of staff and patients following the April 19, 2021 declaration of a COVID-19 outbreak on the medical inpatient unit at Dawson Creek & District Hospital has identified additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19. As of April 23, four patients and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 related to the outbreak," notes Northern Health Friday afternoon.

"The outbreak continues to be limited to the medical inpatient unit, at this time."
