Federal election: Here are the North Vancouver and West Vancouver all-candidates meetings

Below is a list of all-candidates meetings scheduled for the North Vancouver, Burnaby North-Seymour and West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country ridings. The federal election is to be held on Sept. 20.

Wednesday, Sept. 1

The North Vancouver Chamber is hosting a meeting for Burnaby North-Seymour candidates via Zoom from 9 to 10:15 a.m.

The event is free for chamber members but non-members must pay $25 to register. Registration is done via the Chamber.

 

Thursday, Sept. 2

The North Vancouver Chamber is hosting a meeting for North Vancouver candidates via Zoom from 9 to 10:15 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 7

100 Debates on the Environment is hosting a meeting specifically for candidates in the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country riding on the topic of the environment. The online event, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m., requires pre-registration at Eventbrite.

 

Monday, Sept. 13

The Blueridge Community Association is hosting an in-person and online hustings at the Mount Seymour United Church, from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a 130-person maximum in the church and, in keeping with provincial health orders, both masks and vaccinations will be mandatory for attendees. To register, email [email protected]. The meeting will also be broadcast via Zoom and Youtube. Links to those are available via the Blueridge Communtiy Association.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 14

The North Vancouver City Library is hosting a meeting via Zoom for North Vancouver candidates, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is required to watch. Registration is via this link on the library's webpage.

From 3 to 5 p.m., West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country candidates will participate in an all-can hosted by the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce at the Kay Meek Arts Centre. Voters can attend in person or online but registration is a must. 

 

Thursday, Sept. 16

North Shore Community Resources Society's community housing action committee will host an all-candidates conversation about housing, 10 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Each of the five parties has been asked to select a representative to speak about the housing crisis generally in Canada, and/or specifically here on the North Shore. The Squamish Chamber of Commerce will host a meeting for West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky voters on Zoom. The event is free but requires pre-registration via the Squamish Chamber.
