Ella Wedel has a good reason to choose fall as her favourite season.

Her free skate at this past weekend at the Super Series Autumn Leaves figure skating competition in Kamloops put her over the top.

It helped the Northern B.C. Centre for Skating athlete win the Star 4 under-13-and-over event.

The ice in Kamloops also brought out spectacular results from Justin Hampole of the NBCCS, whose powerful stride helped him gain sufficient height to land a triple Lutz, on the way to claiming the silver medal in the under-17 novice men's event.

In other NBCCS results, Myah Milner earned silver in the women's Star 8 event, highlighted by her double Salchow-double toe loop combination, and Alex Carraway won bronze in the Star 5 under-13 competition.

Prince George skaters will now prepare for the B.C./Yukon section championships, Nov. 10-13 in Kelowna.
