Connor Logan scored a pair of goals and Cavin Tilsley picked up an goal and an assist to spark the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 5-1 win Saturday over the visiting Surrey Eagles.

In the second-last game of the B.C. Hockey League season for both teams, in front of a crowd of 1,482 at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena, the Kings took a 2-0 lead in the second period. Kyle Johnson and Logan scored before Kyle Black found the net behind Spruce Kings goalie Joseph McLeod, 14:58 into the second period.

Tilsley made it a 3-1 game late in the period. Braiden Epp and Logan, into an empty net with Surrey goalie Daniel Davidson on the bench, completed the scoring.

The Kings outshot the Eagles 41-21.

With the win, the Kings improved to 13-38-4-2, 15 points ahead of the last-overall Eagles (7-47-1-2).

The same teams meet again Sunday (3 p.m. start) at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
