The Prince George Cougars' top defenceman is back.

Marc McNulty, 19, who has spent the last few weeks at the Detroit Red Wings camp, was reassigned to his junior team Monday.

The six-foot-six McNulty was the Cougars' most productive blueliner last season, notching 17 goals and 25 assists.

The Cats returned to Prince George Monday from a 15-hour bus ride from Kennewick, Wash., where they were clobbered 7-0 by the Tri-City Americans Sunday.

It's expected McNulty will be in the lineup Friday for the Cougars' home-opener at CN Centre against the Kelowna Rockets.
