P.G. gymnasts hit highs

Alia Wilson grabbed all-around gold for the first time in junior Olympic Level 8.

She landed gold on the bars, beam and floor and silver on the vault.

Also in JO Level 8, Rhiana Palfy was fifth all-around after earning silver on the beam, and finishing fifth on the vault, seventh on the bars and eighth on the floor.

Mekenna Parker finished seventh all-around after landing gold on the vault, fourth on the bars, eighth on the beam and seventh on the floor.

Reid Powers followed in ninth all-around, finishing eighth on the vault, fourth on the bars, ninth on the beam and sixth on the floor.

Jaymie Hinks finished third all-around after landing gold in the vault and silver on the beam in Level 7. Tiana Millins was eighth in Level 7 vaultIndividually, Kayla Hanson landed bronze on the vault in Level 6, while Madeline Temoin was ninth on the beam and floor. Shannon Fairservice was 10th on the beam.

Samantha Thomas landed silver on the Level 6 bars.

Eleven Prince George trampolinists took to the air at the first provincial cup of the season at the Flip City Invitational in Langley on the weekend.

Out of the 11, eight of them competed for the first time in the trampoline, double mini trampoline and tumbling events.

In 10-and-under double mini trampoline, Caleb Emon was seventh and finished 14th in trampoline.

Baylee Herrick was 20th in the trampoline and double mini trampoline in Level 1, 12-and-under. In the same level, Nova Long followed in 22nd place in the trampoline and double mini trampoline. Emma Sands was right behind her in 23rd in both events.

In Level 1, 13-plus, Emily Mann was 11th in the trampoline and 22nd in the double mini trampoline.

Kayla Hanson finished 15th in the trampoline and 18th in the double mini trampoline.

In Level 2, 13-and-under, Sydney Hamilton finished 22nd in the trampoline and 19th in the double mini trampoline. She was fifth in tumbling.

In Level 2, 14-plus, Caroline Kinnee was sixth in the trampoline and fourth in the double mini trampoline. Amy Hackle finished 12th in the trampoline and fifth in the double mini trampoline.

In Level 3, 15-plus, Anna MacDonald won bronze in the trampoline and gold in the double mini trampoline. Brook-Lynn Kinnee was fifth in the trampoline and eighth in the double mini trampoline. She finished first in tumbling.
