Northern Capitals get four of six points in weekend triple-header

To say it has been a rough year for the Northern Captials would be an understatement.

To say it has been a rough year for the Northern Captials would be an understatement. Going into this weekend's triple-header with the visiting Thompson-Okanagan Lakers, the Captials had only three wins in twenty-three games, good enough for six points and last place in the five team BC Female Midget AAA hockey league.

When a team has a difficult season, they have two choices, let the wheels continue to fall off until the end of the season, or buckle down and play for themselves, their teammates, and their pride. The latter was exactly what the Captials had in mind this past weekend. Determined to finish the season on a strong note, the Northern Capitals took four out of six points this weekend, nearly doubling their win total for the entire season. Their record now stands at 5-21-0 for ten points.
