Prince George Tim Horton's Little Britches Rodeo goes Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.

Children between the ages of four and 15 will compete in events like barrel racing, steer riding, goat tying, breakaway roping, pole bending and chute dogging.

This event, organized by the Lakes Community Horse Club, is one of a circuit so there will be many youngsters from out of town competing as well as a strong local contingent.

In this video kids are trying their hand at goat tying, along with a special appearance by Andrea Johnson, Prince George Citizen reporter, who makes her own valiant attempt at the goat tying challenge. Volunteers also take time out to train the cattle to run from one pen to the other on the far side of the arena to prepare them for the rodeo Saturday.
