Kryski leads Cats past Blazers

Rookie forward Max Kryski scored a pair of first-period goals to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 4-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night in Kamloops.

Both teams will miss the Western Hockey League playoffs. They'll end their seasons tonight at Prince George's CN Centre. The puck will drop at 7.

On Friday, the Cats were up 3-1 after 20 minutes. First-year defenceman Rhett Rhinehart also scored for the Cougars in the period, while Jermaine Loewen had the Kamloops marker.

Prince George blueliner Austin Crossley had the only goal of the second period, and Connor Zary of the Blazers capped the scoring in the third.

Isaiah DiLaura, who split the goaltending duties with Taylor Gauthier, earned the win, while Dylan Ferguson took the loss.
