The Prince George Spruce Kings have travelled to the provincial capital to sign their latest recruit.

The Kings announced Sunday that 19-year-old six-foot 175-pound forward Connor Logan from Victoria will join the B.C. Hockey League team for the 2015-16 season.

Last season Logan helped the Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League win both the Cyclone Taylor Cup and the Keystone Cup titles.

The Cyclone Taylor Cup is awarded to the B.C. Junior B champion, while the Keystone Cup is awarded to the Western Canadian Junior B champion.

In 2014-15, Logan tallied 25 goals and chipped in 39 assists for 64 points in 40 games played split between the Peninsula Panthers and the Storm after an early-season trade to Campbell River. In 2013-14 with the Panthers, Logan notched 28 goals and added 47 assists for 75 points in 48 games.

"Connor is a gifted offensive player who prides himself on hard work," said Kings general manager Mike Hawes. "His skills and work ethic will allow him to transition well into our league. He's also a top-notch individual who will fit in well with our group."

Logan will be on the ice with the rest of his Prince George teammates for the Spruce Kings main training camp that starts Aug. 24.
