At the 16-team event in Duncan, the Eagles downed St. Ann's of Kamloops 43-33 on Friday afternoon. That win came after a 50-46 Thursday decision against Kimberley's Selkirk. The Eagles lost their Wednesday opener 47-43 to Surrey Christian School.

On Saturday, Cedars will tip off against a regional rival, the Valemount Timberwolves. The teams last met in the north central zone championship game in late February in Prince George and the Eagles prevailed 65-53.

Meanwhile, at the boys triple-A provincials in Langley, the Duchess Park Condors dropped to 1-2 after a 74-70 Friday loss to Nanaimo District. Duchess is seeded 14th in the 16-team tournament and Nanaimo is ranked seventh.

The Condors will face Maple Ridge in their last game on Saturday.
