Jesse Mistelbacher, a point-producing forward from Manitoba, is now a Western Hockey League prospect of the Prince George Cougars.
In Tuesday's WHL bantam draft in Calgary, the Cats picked the five-foot-11, 145-pound Mistelbacher in the sixth round, 126th overall. In 29 games with the Eastman Selects this season, Mistelbacher piled up 41 points (16 goals, 25 assists). In the playoffs, he added two goals and one helper in two games.
Mistelbacher's hometown is Iles Des Chenes, which is about 10 minutes southeast of Winnipeg.
