The Western Hockey League team released its pre-season schedule Tuesday. It includes six exhibition games - five on the road and one at home at CN Centre.

After wrapping up their main training camp that begins on Aug. 28, the Cats will head to Kamloops on Sept. 4 for a contest against the Blazers. They'll drive further south on Sept. 5 to take on the defending WHL champion Kelowna Rockets.

The Cougars then compete in an eight-team pre-season showcase in Kennewick, Wash., and face off against the Portland Winterhawks on Sept. 9 and the Everett Silvertips on Sept. 10. They'll conclude the series with a clash against the Kootenay Ice on Sept. 12.

The lone home game is on Saturday, Sept. 19 when the Blazers visit at 7 p.m. The game is in the midst of the Vancouver Canucks training camp, Sept. 18-20.

The Cougars open the 2015-16 season at home against the Everett Silvertips, Friday Sept. 25. The complete WHL regular-season schedule will be released today.
