The schedule has been changed for the opening-round Western Hockey League playoff series between the Prince George Cougars and the Portland Winterhawks.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven affair, originally slated for Saturday at 7 p.m. at CN Centre, will now be played on Sunday with a start time of 5 p.m.

Game 1 is still scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at CN Centre.

Games 3 and 4 are in Portland next Wednesday and Thursday. If necessary, the teams will return to Prince George for Game 5 on Saturday, April 1. Game 6 would be played Monday, April 3 in Portland and Game 7 would go Wednesday, April 5 in Prince George.

No reason was given for the rescheduling of Game 2. Andy Beesley, vice president of business for the Cougars, didn't return a Tuesday call from The Citizen seeking comment.
