The Prince George Cougars chose Edge Lambert with the first of their two seventh-round picks in today's Western Hockey League bantam draft in Calgary.

Lambert, from Grande Prairie, Alta., is a five-foot-10, 157-pound centreman who played for the Notre Dame Hounds this season. With the Hounds, he scored 20 goals and 44 points in 38 games. In the draft, he was the 143-overall selection.

Then, with the 145th pick, the Cats took forward Zachary Bolton, a North Vancouver product who was part of the North Shore Winter Club Winterhawks this season. Bolton's stats weren't available but, at six-foot-one and 152 pounds, he brings good size to the ice.
