Two Prince George Cougars have made NHL Central Scouting's final list of players eligible players for the entry draft, June 27-28 in Philadelphia.

Goalie Ty Edmonds is ranked 18th on the list of North American goalies, while defenceman Sam Ruopp is considered the 127th best available North American skater.

Edmonds, a 17-year-old from Winnipeg, played in the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in January, having won the CHL's goaltender-of-the-month award for October. He finished with a 3.85 goals-against average and .887 save percentage while compiling an 18-19-2-4 record in 53 appearances with the Cougars this season.

Ruopp, 17, distinguished himself as a rookie, bringing a physical presence to the Cats' defence. The six-foot-four, 170-pound native of Zehner, Sask., finished with five goals and 11 assists for 16 points and a -15 plus/minus rating.

Left winger Sam Bennett of the Kingston Frontenacs remained the top North American prospect on the list of skaters, followed by Barrier Colts defenceman Aaron Ekblad and Kooteney Ice centre Sam Reinhart. Also making the top-10 were Calgary Whitman left winger Jake Virtanen (sixth) and Red Deer Rebels defenceman Haydn Fleury (10th).

Other NHL notables were Swift Current Broncos defenceman Julius Honka (11th) and Saskatoon Blades left-winger Nikita Scherbak (15th).

Thatcher Demko of Boston College is the top-ranked North American goaltending prospect.
