Ibrahima Tounkara had the magic touch for the Prince George Citizen under-18 boys soccer team.

The Citizen striker got his body in front of a crossing pass and deflected it into the Scouten and Associates net for a two-goal lead midway through the second half and his team hung on to win the Prince George Youth Soccer Association house league playoff final 3-2.

The Citizen U-18 squad won the regular season title as well in the May-June spring season. The team topped Scouten and Associates earlier in the week for the right to play in the final. In the battle for third place, Wendy's defeated Andrew Kemp Lawyer and Mediator in a single-game playoff.

"They came together right away, there were no egos, they were respectful and willing to learn and listen and would play any position they were asked to play," said Citizen U-18 boys coach Alan Ramsay. "I've coached a long time and they were a dream to have. These guys were top-notch."

Thursday's final was played under steady rain. Scouten and Associates struck first, scoring a goal in the opening minute on Citizen goalie John Saunderson.

Playoffs continue today in the 13-14-year-old age group with boys and girls finals and bronze-medal games starting at 11 a.m. The U-18 girls finals will be played Monday starting at 6 p.m.

The fall season wraps up today for several other PGYSA house league divisions at Rotary Field.

Today at 12:30 the league will dedicate a park bench set up near the middle field in memory of longtime youth soccer coach and PGYSA director Steve Lamble, who died in June 2013 at age 60.

The PGYSA will hand out its league awards on Thursday starting at 6 p.m. at Esther's Inn.
