Two members of the Prince George Cougars have landed on NHL Central Scouting's Futures List for the 2016 draft.

Defenceman Josh Anderson and forward Kody McDonald have both been classed as 'C' prospects, which means they are currently projected to be chosen between the fourth and sixth rounds of the draft.

Both players are in their sophomore seasons with the Cougars.

Last year, Anderson had two goals, two assists and 52 penalty minutes in 42 games. So far this season, he has one assist, four penalty minutes and is a plus-three in the plus/minus rankings. Anderson, from Duncan, was picked third overall by the Cougars in the 2013 Western Hockey League bantam draft.

McDonald, meanwhile, led all Cougar rookies with nine goals and three assists in 49 games last season. With 47 minutes in penalties, he was also a physical presence. The Cats chose the Lethbridge product 24th overall in the 2013 draft.

Two of the Cougars' college prospects - forward Riley Tufte and defenceman Dennis Cholowski - also made the Central Scouting list. Tufte is considered a 'B' prospect and Cholowski is ranked as a 'C' prospect.

Tufte is currently playing for the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League, while Cholowski is a member of the B.C. Hockey League's Chilliwack Chiefs. Tufte is committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Cholowski has signed papers with St. Cloud State University.
