Cats finish draft with La Roue selection

The Prince George Cougars made defenceman Francis La Roue their final pick in today's Western Hockey League bantam draft in Calgary.

La Roue is a Surrey product who played for the Delta Wild this season. In 25 games, he posted one goal and four assists. Size is an asset for La Roue, as he already stands six-foot-one and weights 157 pounds.

The Cougars chose him in the 10th round, 208th overall.

In total, the Cats added nine players to their organization. They picked one goaltender, four defencemen and four forwards. By province, three players are B.C. residents, three are from Alberta, two live in Saskatchewan and one is from Manitoba.
