The Cariboo Cougars won both games of a weekend series against the Valley West Hawks.
In the B.C. Hockey Major Midget League contests, played in Langley, the Cougars romped to a 7-1 victory on Saturday and prevailed 5-2 on Sunday.
The first-place Cats improved to 23-2-1-0 and the Hawks dropped to 15-8-1-2.
The Cougars will be in Coquitlam this weekend to face the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs.
