For three days in September, Prince George becomes home to the Vancouver Canucks when they set up shop in CN Centre for their main training camp, Sept.18-20.

For hockey fans, it's an unprecedented opportunity to watch an NHL team in action, up close and personal. But if you want to watch the Sedin twins and their dazzling puck movement on the ice or see how fast sophomore forward Bo Horvat can move on a pair of blades, you'd better get your tickets early.

The Canucks will be divided into three groups for the training camp sessions, expected to start each day at 8 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m.  Daily parties are planned each day with interactive games, food, music and entertainment.

Single-day passes go on sale on Monday Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. at the CN Centre box office for $5 each. All proceeds from training camp ticket sales will go into the Canucks For Kids Fund, then be donated back to the community. Training camp passes will also be available online at ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-985-5000. There is a limit of six passes per household.

Group passes for up to 20 people are available but those orders must come through the Prince George Cougars office on the east end of CN Centre. Call the Cougars staff at 250-561-0783 for more information.

On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., the Cougars play their lone preseason home game against the Kamloops Blazers. The Cougars are now selling season memberships which include $200 worth of team merchandise and food coupons as well as priority opportunities to see the Canucks during their training camp. More information is at pgcougars.com.
