When the Vancouver Canucks come to Prince George next weekend for their training camp, fans will have more to do than just watch the on-ice sessions at CN Centre.

There's also a town hall breakfast, party in the parking lot and a coach's hot stove.

The on-ice sessions feature three days of practice at CN Centre.

Split into two groups, the NHL team will take to the ice on Friday and Saturday for sessions at 9 a.m. and 11:20 a.m.

On Sunday, at 9:45 a.m., the Canucks, comprised of most of their veterans, will practice their power play. An intra-squad game between mostly prospects follows at 11:20 a.m.

A limited number of passes ($5 each) remain for the on-ice sessions. Tickets can be secured through Ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-985-5000.

The Canucks training camp roster includes 12 defencemen and 21 forwards.

Among them are defenceman Dan Hamhuis, the Prince George Cougars co-owner who spent his entire WHL career starring on the Cats blueline; forwards Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Alex Burrows, Bo Horvat and Brett Sutter, who was acquired in the off-season in a trade with Pittsburgh.

Four goaltenders will be in camp: Ryan Miller, Richard Bachman, Jacob Markstrom and Joe Cannata.

The team's management will be on hand for a Scotiabank Canucks Town Hall Breakfast Friday at the Civic Centre between

7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Canucks president of hockey operations Trevor Linden and general manager Jim Benning will be in attendance and will answer questions about the team. The event will be hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets can be purchased for $25 online at pgc.cc/1VSu6Bx.

The Coach's Hot Stove is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kin 1 lounge. Vancouver Canucks assistant coaches, and the entire Cougars coaching staff, will host the free gathering to discuss a number of hockey-related topics such as goaltending, making the most of practice time, diet and nutrition and developing as a player.

The hot stove is open to minor hockey coaches, parents and players. Those who want to attend must register online at Canucks.com.

FortisBC will present a Party in the Parking Lot outside CN Centre all weekend. Fans can look forward to games, food options, entertainment and activities while music will be ongoing throughout the day.

Saturday will have the majority of activities, including a pancake breakfast by donation courtesy of Save-On Foods and a special Kids Only press conference after the final ice session.
