After a new year's fire at the Ness Lake Bible Camp, the 11th annual Polar Bear Dip was postponed until this past weekend. About 30 brave souls jumped into the icy waters to help raise money for the camp. They raised about $7,200.
There were more than 650 participants taking part in the silver anniversary Prince George Iceman Sunday, plus another 100 volunteers helping coordinate the eight kilometre cross-country ski, 10 km run, five km skate, five km run and the 800 metre swim as well as the banquet afterward.
A gorgeous weekend at Purden Ski Village brought lots of people out to the slopes. Visitors to the hill were in for a treat as the Prince George Alpine Ski Club hosted two Teck Kinder Series Slalom race events.
Sugar Shack Brunch was Saturday at 1088 Gillett Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., presented by Cercle des Canadiens Français during the 27th annual Francofun Festival. Snow sculptures, kids' crafts, logger sports and of course maple toffee on snow was included in the fun.
