Start of the 16th Season for Nonviolence, January 30 - April 4, is a national 64-day educational, media, and
grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. Inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this international event honors their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world.
Come on out and try archery! Whether a beginner or an old hand at the sport what a fun way to get into this growing sport. Every friday night starting January 4th from 7-9pm, coaches and equipment availible. $5.00 per person or free to club members
This 1 hour free workshop usually held the first Sunday of the month is a safe environment where everyone is new! Over the course of this workshop you are given a brief background of yoga, taken through the foundational postures one at a time, and receive alignment cues, emphasizing what is most important. This is a great opportunity for students to experience what a yoga class is like and experience some of the benefits of a yoga practice.
NorthBreast Passage Dragon Boat Society will hold their General Meeting on February 7, 2013 at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held in the Chronic Disease Management Room at the University Hospital of Northern BC.
