'DOCTORS MISSING THE POINT' Janet Holder (Enbridge).

Ms. Holder, I was perturbed at your letter regarding Prince George's Doctors. No, it's YOU that seems to be missing the point. Here is part of your track-record.

Between 1999 and 2008 you had 610 spills, releasing approx. 21 million litres (132,000 barrels). July 2010: 4 million litres spilled into the Kalamazoo River. 2009: Enbridge Energy Partners agree to pay $1.1 million in a lawsuit brought against them by the State of Wisconsin for 545 violations. 2011: In 2011 an Inuit hunter in the North West Territories came across an oil-spill that Enbridge claimed was only 4 barrels, through a 'pin-hole leak'. Guess what Ms Holder ? . . . that spill is now estimated at over 1,500 barrels. There's too much risk involved as far as I'm concerned.

Although you state you are a resident of Prince George, God help us if there ever would be a spill into the Stuart River. The aquafier for Prince George's drinking-water is situated there, but, if there was a spill, you'd probably be one of the first people to exit the city. I do not trust your company, and why should I ? Even your coloured depictions of the Douglas Channel make it look larger than it actually is.

Very very subtle, but it's there. It will not go through Ms Holder. The silence from Mr Harper and Christy Clark is, well, just deafening. Sorry, but I do not think yourself or Mr Kinsley will receive your bonus-cheques ! Thank God the First Nations were finally given the power to control their own destiny.
