Crocodile tears and prayers

Any loss of human life is tragic.

For the members of the LGBTQ to turn this into an opportunity for publicity is disgusting. Their display of crocodile tears in Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park is nothing more than a photo opportunity.

The victims in Orlando are not known to them anymore than they are to me but I don't make a display of myself in a public park for the benefit of the news media.

I grieve for these unfortunate victims by simply bowing my head and saying a short prayer for them. It would seem that any excuse for publicity is good enough for them.

In view of this display I have decided to come out and announce to everyone that I am straight.

To honour my sexual persuasion, together with all others who are similarly inclined, I propose that the City of Prince George hold a parade at least once each year and also, in order to give us equal time, paint part of the streets in the downtown area in a colour to be decided on at a later date.

As usual, I believe that your belief in political correctness and your lack of courage will prevent you from printing this letter. We used to have a paper that said it like it is but unfortunately that is no longer the case.
