Prince George RCMP have closed the file on a suspicious incident over the B.C. Day long weekend at Crooked River Provincial Park.
After police issued a press release, a man attended the detachment and identified himself as the person RCMP were looking for in response to complaints of an adult who kept approaching children at the camground to speak to them, ignoring at least one parent's request that he stop.
"Although suspicious, this incident has been determined to not be criminal in nature," RCMP said in a follow up release issued Tuesday. "The investigation has been concluded."
