Two street racers received heavy fines and saw their cars impounded and their licences suspended over the weekend.
The two men, ages 19 and 21 and driving a blue Mitsubishi Lancer and a blue Subaru Impreza, were stopped on Ospika near Tyner Boulevard after they were seen racing south on Ospika just before 11 p.m. Saturday, Prince George RCMP said.
They were issued tickets that carry a $368 fine for driving without due care and attention under the Motor Vehicle Act, their licences were suspended for 15 days and their vehicles were impounded for 15 days.
