An information meeting for those interested in joining the RCMP or volunteering with the community policing section is set for Tuesday, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the detachment at 455 Victoria St.
Those who attend are asked to bring government issued photo identification - a driver's licence or a B.C. ID card - to enter the building.
"This is a great opportunity to learn more about a career in law enforcement and RCMP volunteer opportunities with community policing" community policing coordinator Linda Parker said. "The two are a logical fit, as many persons that wish to become a police officer require more volunteering experience."
