UNBC associate professor Lela Zimmer is one of nine excellence in nursing education winners announced by the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia.
Zimmer, who has been the co-ordinator of undergraduate nursing programs at UNBC since 2006, joins six Northern Health nurses in being recognized by the professional society this year
The college handed out 36 awards in seven categories ranging from excellence in education, research, practice and administration to advocacy, rising stars and awards of distinction.
The awards will officially be handed out in September.
