Lightning was deemed as responsible for more than 1,200 BC Hydro customers losing power in the northern part of the city Thursday afternoon.
According to the utility, some power was restored shortly before 2 p.m. after being out for an hour north of Ospika Boulevard.
More than 4,000 customers lost power Thursday in the area.
