There's a gas leak downtown behind the Homework store at 1299 Third Avenue.

Access to the area is blocked between Quebec and Dominion on Third and Fourth Avenues.

No one is allowed access to those buildings until the leak is under control.

Fire crews from two halls are on scene, as well as RCMP, as Fortis crews shut off the gas in order to repair the leak.

Reports came in of the gas leak at 6:45 a.m., said Captain Scobie from the Prince George Fire Rescue.

At this time, one building remains closed until completely ventilated.
