An apartment fire Wednesday afternoon has left one suite with extensive fire damage and others with smoke and water damage.
Prince George firefighters were called out to to an apartment building in the 1000 block of Central Street shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. On arrival, fire crews encountered heavy smoke and extensive flames coming from one suite.
It took fire fighters an hour and a half to get the blaze under control and crews remained on scene to extinguish hotspots.
The lone occupant of the suite had evacuated, along with several other tenants from surrounding units. No injuries were reported. Fire investigators will be on scene today.
