Drowning victim identified

The B.C. Coroners Service has released the identity of the father who drowned in Ness Lake. Kyle Kromm, 29, from Prince George died in a boating incident July 17 after diving from a boat to retrieve his young son.

The B.C. Coroners Service has released the identity of the father who drowned in Ness Lake.

Kyle Kromm, 29, from Prince George died in a boating incident July 17 after diving from a boat to retrieve his young son.

His body was recovered Tuesday by the RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team after being located with assistance from Idaho-based search specialists Gene and Sandy Ralston in about 13 metres of water about 150 metres from the shoreline.

The Coroners Service's investigation into Kromm's death is continuing.
