Drivers should expect delays as watermain work is underway on Chief Lake Road.
The existing 150 millimetre watermain along the south side of Chief Lake Road between Sparwood and Sabyam Road will be replaced by a new 450mm main to "support residential development and to improve water flow to fire hydrants in the area," according to a city press release.
The city is suggesting drivers use Foothills Boulevard as an alternate route as traffic disruptions and single alternating traffic through the work zone are anticipated.
Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
