It's an old saying and Go Big! is the order of the British Columbia Northern Exhibition this year, in its 102nd year.

The fair in Prince George has expanded its gates to accommodate something for everyone.

There's logger sports, a wild west town, the midway where thrills and games of chance abound. There's Heritage Lane to honour the local history, as well as many equestrian events, including heavy horse pull and gymkhana. There's a community stage where a long list of locals will showcase their talent throughout each day.

There's a food court and a brand new addition to the fair is the Northern Taste Challenge, where guests will find celebrity chef Bob Blumer hosting the professional and amateur chef's challenge for the foodies of Prince George to enjoy.

Ron Perlman, best known as Hellboy and Clay Morrow from Sons of Anarchy, will make an appearance at the BCNE on Aug. 9.

There's the traditional events like the pig and duck races, logger sports, and, of course there's a full food court, as well as cotton candy, mini doughnuts and candy apples.

Every day at the fair admission gates are open from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the 4-H livestock area will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pig and Duck racing at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. every day in Heritage Lane, the Kin Centres are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. while the food court is open from 10 a.m. to midnight, and the midway will open from 11 a.m. to midnight while the saloon will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight as well.

Here are the full daily schedules so you can plan your day.
