WorkSafe B.C. investigators remained on the scene at Brink Forest Products for a third day Thursday following an accident with a log chipper that left an employee seriously injured.

As it had since the incident early Tuesday morning, the building housing the machine remain closed, WorkSafe spokesman Scott McCloy said.

"I don't know how long they'll be there," McCloy said. "They continue to gather data in support of the investigation."

He said it will take at least two to three months for WorkSafe to generate an incident investigation report.

The employee was taken to hospital but details on the injuries have not been provided due to privacy concerns.
