The Saturday skies will giggle and growl with the engines of entertainment aircraft.

The 2016 Vanderhoof Airshow is set to make audience emotions soar from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with chances after that to meet the aero-stars and enjoy a dinner and dance in the hangar.

Some of the acts scheduled for the event include Ross and Bud Granley with their Yak and Corsair stunt planes, Dave and Drew Watson of Yellow Thunder Harvard Formation Team, Peter Hertzig in his T28 Trojan, Geoff Latter flying a Nanchang CJ6-A named Nancy, Anna "Sky Dancer" Serbinenko doing solo aerobatics, and many more atmospheric personalities. There will be a Pitts biplane, a B-25 Mitchell bomber, a P-38 Lightning twin-tail fighter, and other machines to pop the eyes and drop the jaws.

There will also be excitement on the ground with static displays and a performance by FMX motorcycle stars Morgan Kaliszuk, Luke Wheeler and Redbull athlete Kyle Demelo from 11 a.m. to noon.

The full range of activities and attractions happens between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 or free for those aged 12 and younger.

Tickets to get up and close at the hangar party (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) are $15, and the dinner/dance portion of the event is $35 each.
