Four days have been set aside in November and December for an arbitrator to hold hearings with UNBC and the faculty association to reach a first collective agreement.

Stan Lanyon will meet faculty and administration this summer, followed up by hearings Nov. 19 to 21 and 30 and Dec. 7.

Faculty went on strike for two weeks in March, until UNBC applied for mediation under Section 55, which sets a special process for first collective agreements.

When the process was complete, the board-appointed mediator, Trevor Sones, recommended the parties go to binding arbitration.
