Three men face charges related to the theft of a pick up truck, flat deck trailer and several spools of insulated copper wire from an Ogilvie Street business.
Earl Wade Johnson, 48, Eric Wayde Johnson, 32, and Robert Douglas Leslie, 39, were arrested on Aug. 31 after an off-duty officer found the Ford F-350, which was reported stolen on Aug. 28, off Kimball Road near the Bon Voyage Plaza on Aug. 29.
Members of the Prince George RCMP's crime reduction team and police dog service section put surveillance on the truck and at about 2:20 a.m. on the day they were apprehended, suspects showed up and drove the vehicle to a Sykes Road property off Highway 16 near the city's west edge.
All three have been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, break, enter and theft, two counts of theft under $5,000, three counts of possession of stolen property and possession of stolen property for the purpose of trafficking.
The break, enter and theft charge against Leslie is after the fact.
Both Johnsons remain in custody and Leslie was released on $1,000 bail.
