Jon Melby, an airshow pilot for the last 35 years, will perform during Quesnel's Skyfest July 31 to Aug. 2.
Melby flies freestyle aerobatics in a modified Pitts S-1-11B biplane at air shows, which is his passion, while by day he is a technical senior manager for a major brokerage firm.
Melby's custom biplane cruises at about 315 km/h and can climb vertically from zero to 2,500 feet at sea level.
During a normal climb it can reach 4,000 feet per minute with its high powered engine.
