A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man who failed to appear in court Tuesday when a trial for charges related to a marijuana grow operation was to start.
Evan Iovko Jones, 24, is described as six feet tall and weighing 252 pounds with brown hair, green eyes and a tattoo on his right upper arm.
Jones, who is from the Lower Mainland, was arrested in May 2012 after North District RCMP's integrated marijuana enforcement task force seized 678 marijuana plants in various stages of growth from a West Lake Road home.
In January 2013, a warrant for the arrest of Yovko Ivanov Djitlarsky, 47, was issued after he failed to make a first appearance on the same matter. He is described at five feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 192 pounds, also with brown hair and green eyes.
A photo of Djitlarsky, who has a Surrey address, was not available.
Both face one count each of possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and fraudulent consumption of electricity.
