For the second year in a row, Prince George's Relay for Life in Prince George was ranked first in the nation with a total raised of more than $530,000.

Looking for the hat trick, the local Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life committee has partnered with the Northland Auto Group to offer incentives to fundraisers during the newly-themed Relay 500: Racing for a Cure.

Each registered participant who raises $500 gets a ticket in the draw barrel. Every additional $500 raised gets another ticket into the draw.

The lucky winner will have their choice of one of three vehicles including a 2016 Dodge Dart SE, a 2015 Micra S Automatic or a 2015 Hyundai Accent Sedan.

The draw will be held during the 2016 Relay for Life, the only 24-hour relay in Canada, which takes place from May 7 to 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Masich Place stadium. Time of the draw is not yet determined.

Funds raised during the Relay for Life across the nation goes to cancer prevention, research and to help those who are living with cancer.

Last year, 1,380 people registered to participate in the local relay and people can register for 2016 right now at www.relayforlife.ca/princegeorge. To get the latest updates visit the Facebook page at Relay For Life-Prince George.
