The last Prince George Citizen poll asked "who is going to win the World Cup of Hockey?"

Of course the city's proud Canucks thought Canada would win. Canada received 280 votes, taking 83 per cent of the vote. The rest trickled in with the power of an end-to-end goal with 17 voters thinking Russia would take it, representing five per cent of the vote; North America received 16 votes and five per cent of the vote; while Sweden deeked into last place with 14 votes for a four per cent of the vote. The U.S. limped into last place like a player who took a slapshot to the ankle with 11 votes and three per cent of the vote. The total number of votes was 338. Remember this is not a scientific poll.

And now for something completely different, The Citizen wants to offer you many different options for the next poll while getting to know some of the staff members.

Bryan Adams is returning to Prince George for a show on Nov. 19. Go online to www.pgcitizen.ca to vote for your favourite Bryan Adams song from a playlist selected by The Citizen newsroom staff.
