Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a pickup truck linked to a theft of 75 firearms from a Bear Lake home this past summer.

The vehicle is described as a white Ford F-350 Crew Cab Diesel pick-up truck, 2014 or newer, with a heavy-duty angled, brushed aluminum bush bumper, a "Super Duty" on the front of the hood a silver "6.7 L Power Stroke" medallion style badge in front of the driver and passenger doors, black after-market "Fuel" brand rims, white fender extensions, a lift kit, dark tinted rear windows and a large rectangular black metal storage box up against the cab in the truck's box.

The theft occurred during the early morning of Sunday, July 23. The home's owner had been away but returned in time to discover it had been broken into. As he approached the house, he heard a gunshot and took cover, but saw three male suspects flee the home in a vehicle.

About 35 of the firearms have since been recovered, leaving 40 outstanding.

Police did not elaborate on the type of firearms and how they were stored. It is the first time the theft has been made public.

Anyone who may have seen the truck or has information on the theft is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-561-3300.
