Purden Lake Provincial Park is hosting Parks Day celebrations on Saturday.
Events include sandcastle building contests, scavenger hunts, horseshoe throwing contests, games, nature bingo, nature walks, and interpretive programs.
Families can also participate in Jerry's Search 'n Sketch - the Ultimate Scavenger Quest by finding items on Jerry's list and sketching them in.
A collectable Jerry the Moose souvenir will be given to those who complete the challenge. For more information about the scavenger quest, visit www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/events/scavenger-quest/.
Parks Day celebrations will also be held Saturday at Beaumont, Carp Lake, Crooked River/Bear Lake, Mount Robson, Paarens Beach and Whiskers Point Provincial Parks.
